Day 1 & 2 :   Hyena Pan Tented Camp, Khwai Community Area

Upon your arrival at Maun International Airport you will embark on a connecting light aircraft flight through to the lodge where you will be spending the next two nights.

    Khwai Community Area

The Khwai area of the Okavango lies along the northern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve.  This is an unfenced boundary allowing wildlife to move freely between the woodlands in the wet season when water is plentiful and back to permanent rivers and lagoons in the dry season. The Khwai area offers the same wildlife experience as the reserve with the added advantage of being a private concession which means the ability to do walking safaris and night drives.

    Overnight: Hyena Pan Tented Camp.

Hyena Pan is a tented bushlodge on a private conservation area north of Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is built around a permanent water hole to the north west of Moremi Game Reserve’s northern gate.

This is one of the few permanent water holes in this area and attracts elephants and other wildlife. The water hole is also part of the elephant route between Savuti in the Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, and as such we see movement of elephant through the area constantly.

The camp is rustic yet comfortable, its charming  simplicity making it the perfect getaway into the wilderness.
