No nonstop from Nairobi, and no city list the airline publishes from here. The sector to Dubai is a connection we build by hand and issue as one journey.
flydubai is the other half of Dubai. Emirates flies the long, wide-bodied routes out of Dubai International; flydubai, on an all-Boeing 737 fleet, flies the shorter ones to the cities in between: the Gulf, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Indian Ocean and a spread of Africa that the larger carriers pass over. The two have been codeshare partners since 2017, and that is the fact that matters at the desk, because it lets us put an Emirates sector and a flydubai sector on one ticket with the bags checked through.
Its Kenya nonstop is Mombasa, not Nairobi. For the coast, and for residents who live there, that is a nonstop to Dubai without the drive up to JKIA. From Nairobi, flydubai is a connection we build: either through Mombasa on one ticket, or over Dubai on Emirates with flydubai carrying the onward leg to a city Emirates does not serve. We price both before we recommend either.
Its fares are sold in layers, and the cheapest layer carries no checked bag. We are always asked to quote the bare fare, and we do, but we write the allowance next to it so the fare you compare is the fare you fly on.
It is how some of our own Dubai trips fly from the coast, and the ticketing is the same as for any other carrier here: the sectors, the bags and the change rules confirmed in writing before anything is paid.

Does flydubai fly from Nairobi?
No. flydubai's Kenya nonstop is Mombasa to Dubai; Nairobi is not on its network. From Nairobi we either route you through Mombasa on one ticket, or use flydubai on the far side of a Dubai connection, where its network reaches the cities the big carriers do not. Which of the two is cheaper depends on the dates, so send them.
Can a flydubai sector go on the same ticket as Emirates?
Yes. The two have codeshared since October 2017: an Emirates flight and a flydubai flight can sit on one ticket, with bags checked through to the final city. That is what makes flydubai useful from Nairobi: the Emirates nonstop to Dubai, then a flydubai onward sector to a city Emirates itself does not serve. Most flydubai flights leave from Terminal 2 at Dubai International, with the Emirates-connecting ones from Terminal 3, and the ticket says which.
Is flydubai in an alliance, and can I earn anything?
No alliance. Its loyalty programme is Emirates Skywards, the same one an Emirates ticket earns on, so the miles from both halves of a journey land in one account. Checked bags are sold by fare type rather than included on the lowest fares, so ask us for the fare that carries the bag you need; we quote it with the allowance written in.
