Who it suits
MSC Cruises belongs to the MSC Group, family-owned since 1970 and based in Geneva, and its ships carry that European accent: Italian cooking, lively bars and shows, and more than twenty ships sailing the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Northern Europe and Southern Africa.
It is a family line first. There are clubs for children and for teenagers, water attractions and LEGO-themed play spaces on selected ships, and cabins for a family travelling together. If you want the big ship but a quieter week inside it, the MSC Yacht Club is a keycard-only area with its own restaurant, lounges and pool deck.
Closest to Kenya
For a first cruise from here, look at MSC’s Southern Africa season before anything else: seasonal sailings out of Durban and Cape Town, from short breaks to Mozambique to longer voyages in the Indian Ocean. Our own cruise desk counts it among the most accessible cruise holidays for travellers flying out of Kenya.
The World Class ships
The newest ships are the World Class. MSC World Europa was the first and MSC World America followed, with MSC World Asia sailing from December 2026 and MSC World Atlantic to come in 2027. They are built around the World Promenade, an open-air boulevard of restaurants and bars at the stern, with seven pools and thirteen or more restaurants on board.
Booking it from Nairobi
MSC sells three fare types, Bella, Fantastica and Aurea, and what each includes changes by ship and sailing, so we confirm it before you book. Tell us the month, who is travelling and roughly where, and a travel designer comes back with the sailings, the flights out of Nairobi and the nights either side on one quote. Our cruise site carries the long version at cruises.co.ke/msc-cruises.

Questions
MSC Cruises, from Kenya
Can I book MSC Cruises from Kenya?
Yes. We book MSC Cruises by hand from Nairobi: tell us the month, who is travelling and roughly where, and a travel designer comes back with the sailings, the flights and the nights either side on one quote. The long version of the line, fleet and itineraries, is on our cruise site.
Do you have special fares on MSC Cruises?
Not on our current list: the 2026–28 special fares are with Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises and Princess Cruises. We quote MSC Cruises to your dates instead, so tell us the month and the region and a travel designer comes back with what is open. See the specials we hold.
Which MSC Cruises sailing is closest to Kenya?
The Southern Africa season. MSC runs sailings from Durban and Cape Town, from short breaks to Mozambique to longer voyages in the Indian Ocean, and it is one of the most accessible cruise options for travellers flying from Kenya. We book the flights from Nairobi on the same quote.
What is the difference between Bella, Fantastica and Aurea?
They are MSC fare types. Bella is the value fare, Fantastica adds more choice over the cabin and the booking, and Aurea adds further flexibility and selected wellness benefits. What each includes varies by ship and sailing, so we confirm it for your dates before you book.
What is the MSC Yacht Club?
A private area inside selected MSC ships, behind a keycard-only entrance, with its own lounges, restaurant and pool deck and butler-led service. You get the quiet of a small ship and still have the whole of a big one below you. What the Yacht Club fare includes depends on the ship and the fare booked.
Plan the rest of it
Almost every sailing starts with a flight, so we book the flights as well and quote both together. If you would rather not fly straight home afterwards, the ports on most itineraries sit within reach of somewhere worth a few extra nights: pick the country from our destinations, or start from one of the land journeys we already run and tell us where the ship should meet it.
Our own cruise site carries the long version of this line: the fleet, the itineraries and the fare types, with the booking desk behind it.MSC Cruises on cruises.co.ke
