Who it suits
Norwegian calls it Freestyle, and the name is the whole idea: no assigned table, no fixed sitting, no evening you have to dress for unless you want to. You eat when you are hungry, which on a sea day is not always at seven. For travellers who dislike being organised on holiday, this is the easiest of the big ships to settle into.
The newer ships lean sporty: there is a go-kart track on the top deck of the Prima class, which is either the best thing on board or the reason you book something else.
Where they sail
Three sailings sit at the centre of what we book from Nairobi, and all three carry special fares.
Norwegian Jade runs nine nights from Tokyo to Seoul in March, calling at Mount Fuji, Nagoya, Kyoto, Kochi, Hiroshima, Kagoshima, Nagasaki and Jeju, a lot of Japan for one week and a bit. Norwegian Epic does seven nights out of Barcelona in August, through Marseille, Villefranche for Nice, Livorno for Florence, Messina and the Amalfi Coast before finishing at Rome. Norwegian Prima sails ten nights from Southampton up to Reykjavik by way of Bruges, Amsterdam, Bergen, Geiranger, Ålesund and the Icelandic north.
There is a fourth, Norwegian Aura, seven days from Venice to Barcelona through Valletta, Salerno and Rome. Ask us for that one. The fare is quoted per balcony cabin.

Questions
Norwegian Cruise Line, from Kenya
Can I book Norwegian Cruise Line from Kenya?
Yes. We book Norwegian Cruise Line by hand from Nairobi: tell us the month, who is travelling and roughly where, and a travel designer comes back with the sailings, the flights and the nights either side on one quote. The long version of the line, fleet and itineraries, is on our cruise site.
Do you have special fares on Norwegian Cruise Line?
Yes: 3 sailings on our 2026–28 list, from USD 2,780 for 2 passengers sharing a cabin (Norwegian Jade, 9 nights, March 2027; Norwegian Epic, 7 nights, August 2027; Norwegian Prima, 10 nights, August 2027). See every sailing and hold one.
What is Freestyle cruising?
Norwegian Cruise Line’s own name for the way its ships run: no assigned table, no fixed sitting and no evening you have to dress for unless you want to. You eat when you are hungry, which suits travellers who dislike being organised on holiday.
What is the Prima Speedway?
A go-kart track on Norwegian Prima, three levels high, that runs around and through the ship’s funnel. Prima also sails one of the three Norwegian sailings we hold special fares on, from Southampton to Reykjavik.
Plan the rest of it
Almost every sailing starts with a flight, so we book the flights as well and quote both together. If you would rather not fly straight home afterwards, the ports on most itineraries sit within reach of somewhere worth a few extra nights: pick the country from our destinations, or start from one of the land journeys we already run and tell us where the ship should meet it.
Our own cruise site carries the long version of this line: the fleet, the itineraries and the fare types, with the booking desk behind it.Norwegian Cruise Line on cruises.co.ke
