The shape of the journey
Sri Lanka, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, in eight days. Kandy comes first: the country's second city, set among forested hills, and home to the Temple of the Tooth, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then the misty, tea-covered hills of Nuwara Eliya.
The second half is the coast. Bentota's wide golden beach and calm water, then Colombo, the capital, for its markets, landmarks and modern side. Temples, tea country, wildlife encounters and time by the sea.

To Colombo
On to Colombo, the capital, for its markets, historical landmarks and modern attractions.
