Overview
Abercrombie & Kent started in Kenya, and this is the itinerary that stays inside their own house. Every safari night is at an A&K Sanctuary property, and the internal flights that stitch the three together are already in the price rather than quoted after it.
The three stops do genuinely different jobs. Amboseli is elephants under Kilimanjaro. Ol Pejeta is where you meet the black rhino and the last northern white rhinos on earth. The Maasai Mara is the volume.
Game viewing is shared with other A&K guests as standard. If you would rather have the vehicle and the guide to yourselves, say so when you enquire and we will price it that way.
Where you'll stay
A city hotel in the Westlands commercial district, used for the first night and the day room on departure.
Newly built in a private concession adjoining Amboseli's elephant plains, with Kilimanjaro framed from the suites.
A tented camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya, where the conservation work is the point of the stay.
On a private stretch of the Mara River, and the quietest of the three properties on this route.
Day by day
A proposal, not a timetable. The routing, timings and inclusions are confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
Day 1
Met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta and transferred into the city. A night to sleep off the flight before the safari starts properly.

Day 2Flight

Day 3
Buffalo, wildebeest, hippo and hyena at close quarters, and the big cats on the open savannah where the terrain does not hide them. Out again in the afternoon, and a sundowner in the bush to finish.
